compared to ace combat, it features real world areas, although still has 'upgraded, futuristic' versions of currentish jets. it strikes a nice balance with the advanced control feature so that you can fly a little crazier, with a better camera (ie not stuck in afterburner view). havent played enough to determine whether i would buy it. i just usually around with flight sims, and this one is pretty|

If there's one thing that really pisses me off about hawx is that every time I see how goddamn gorgeous it looks, it reminds me of the fact that we haven't had a proper flight sim in years, and that the best we get are incredibly arcadey games like this that are really addressed to people who aren't into flight sims in the first place.
