| Maybe you have depersonalization disorder? I went through that for a few months and it was pretty scary! |

| last time my girlfriend and I shroomed in an arboretum, we ended up sitting down and hugging for like 2-3 hours. then we got up and stood about 10 feet apart, just staring at each other for 10 minutes or so. people nearby must have thought we were, like, on drugs or something. :) |

Ketamine gives me similar feelings to what you just described.
|
Likewise.

Whoa, cool. There's a disorder for everything.
I get that periodically too, even when sober. It's like a temporary sense of awakening, and my sense of perception gets twisted. It's almost as if my consciousness decided to step out of my head for a bit.
It's pretty whack. |

yea i actually think about random like this quite often. it's almost like i'm looking at people/situations from a third party perspective...like an alien's perspective :stongue: |
haha... I do that too, even over the most common, trivial stuff. Like, I'll be at the gym going through the motions, looking around, and think to myself, "If I was a visitor from another world, I'd see this palce with a bunch of other people, all forcing themselves to lift heavy objects over and over and making weird faces and sounds while they do so. It would seem so ing strange."
Or, when I'm on the road for work I periodically have to eat by myself at a restaurant and I'll just be sitting there thinking, "hmmm... weird... this is a like a gas station for people. People come into these places and fill up their bodies on fuel, then continue on with their life." |

Often times I'll get a short burst of ecstasy. You know, it feels like I'm peaking on MDMA for three seconds or so then I'll slowly go back to just being happy. Strangely enough, this usually happens when I'm alone.
One time I was tripping on acid at a college dorm party. I was just sitting on the couch listening to people talk for a minute and I was thinking to myself, "Godammit, drunk people are dumb as ." I mean, I knew that already, but I had a heightened sense of what drunkeness really is. I still laugh about it to this day.
And then there's the good ol' contemplating what the the human experience is. Once you learn that 'normal' sensations such as color and sound only exist within your head, THEN the acid trips get really interesting :eyespop:. At least that's how it was for me. |

Has anyone looked at traffic and wondered.... just where are all these different people going, and what are they doing? Alot of different stories just driving by.
So many lives, so many different experiences ... boring or not. |

wow, I'm finding a lot of common ground today with the TA peeps. Dude the same used to happen to me... if I was trippin balls on mushrooms or coked out of my skull, I'd see a bunch of drunk people and look at them almost in disgust at how stupid they seemed, and I'd be thinking, "I never want to get drunk again." |

| it's almost as if i do drugs or drink to BE "normal" because otherwise i am just constantly looking at everyone like "wow" and shaking my head:stongue: |

When I'm caught in traffic sometimes I start thinking, "why do all these s have to be on the road right now? My life is definitely more important".... then I look at someone in the car next to me and realize that to them, I am one of those s and they are probably thinking the same thing as me... at that point I usually just calm down because I realize getting pissed isn't going to thin out the traffic |
