Ellelli is definitely my favorite on the release, I first heard it in that Innervisions superset from Fabrik in Madrid (Dixon, Ame, Henrik Schwarz etc). Makes me wish I grabbed this release :p
Oscar G's Chunky Buddah sounds really really familiar. Can't figure out where I've heard it, but that's another bomb track.

and I'm willing to bet money that it will start showing up in Danny Howells' live sets. I listen to alot of his and I have a theory that he gravitates towards tracks that have hand claps on the 2 and the 4. I think he relies on the claps when he's beat matching to keep good time. In his sets he'll often string like 5 or 6 of these deep house jams together...it throws the dancers into a kind of swaying-bob kind of dance as they move left to right with each passing bar. 90% of 4/4 tracks have handclaps/snares on 2 and 4. |
