Ilana Harkavy has been a vocalist, writer, and pianist since she was five. Ilana's extensive vocal training and performance have inspired her to use her talents in both singing and writing to begin a career in music. Though trained to sing jazz and pop, with her undying love for electronic dance music, Ilana's vocal style evolved.
Ilana is currently working with trance vocalist "Jaren Cerf"--of Cerf, Mitiska, & Jaren, and with other well known EDM artists. Her group project with Mike Harrington, Adam Tas, and Dan Bartz--"Gemini's Edge" is expecting their first single, "Strange Love", to be released Spring 2009 by Noel Sanger & Dissident Music.
At just 20 years old, Ilana is one of the youngest female vocalists to ever hit the EDM scene. 2009 will be the launch of Ilana's career, as a feature for some top 100 and up-and-coming artists in the industry, whom you will surely recognize! |

Cool tracks, but the sound quality of the songs do you a big disservice IMO. They have a very AM-radio-ish quality to them - lots of midrange and annoying low mids muddying up the vocals, little presence, and little "thump." I'm sure that the crappy myspace player isn't helping things - I'd do yourself a favor and ditch it in favor of something that streams higher quality mp3s from another server. Sorry, don't mean to sound too critical or harsh.
But, your voice sounds great and you're obviously a very talented individual. Good luck! |
