oh oh, I did listen to this.
Really fun set Rob, it's really great how versatile you are, every set you put out is somehow different, yet they always have that "RJT" vibe to em. I think that's a sign of a very talented DJ.
I really loved you opening up with your edit of the Gorillaz track into Osborne - Wait A Minute. That Osborne track is forever drilled into my head because of [adult swim], but I love it. From there this set was a great journey through a variety of grooves and sounds, really superb work and top-notch mixing and transitions as usual.
Thanks for sharing. :) |

Really nice funky, groovy stuff Rob. Gave it a listen just before and was enjoying it throughout. I'm not one for vocals but your selection of tracks that have them was very good for me. It's funny actually, two of the tracks really reminded me of two other tracks I heard on a Claude Von Stroke Essential Mix last year (The sandwiches one, and the other, whcih I forget, but was the first track on Guy Gerber's RA podcast). Anyway, I did notice a few times where the beats were not aligned completely but it sounded like you were getting int othe mix and obviously that was corrected each time within a few seconds.
So overall really solid stuff! And I love that "It's House Thing" tracks, remember hearing it on Josh Wink's RA podcast (or was it EM?) and thought it was really cool. |

| Damn this is funky! I listened to this down at school yesterday and got some strange looks when I walked into class doing the shoulder shake. :p Really enjoyed the first half of this; fun grooves and peppy melodies. The second half got a bit to "diva-ish" I guess with all the weird vocals, and people talking about house music, haha. Just not my taste I suppose. The mixing was also a little more sketchy than what you normally demonstrate, but it was never distracting. Like I said, the first half is great, probably something I will throw on a my next house party. Thanks for sharing Rob! :) |
