| Just curious if anyone is going to Mexico for spring break. I will be in Arizona and was contemplating crossing the boarder but the media is hitting the issue pretty hard. I know the ongoing battle between the legitimate police and the drug cartels hasn't stopped students from heading south in the past, but supposidly the violence is at its worst ever right now. Is it worth taking the chance? |

If you are going to a place like Rocky Point, you will be OK. Do not stay in Nogales. Since you are in AZ, i'm figuring that you will be driving. But if you are going to Rocky Point i think you will be crossing the border at Lukesville, AZ.
Regardless, never pass through the night. Also Lukesville borders are closed at night, so don't leave Rocky Point late in the day. |

| It doesn't seem to be stopping students so far, but it might be a good year to skip Mexico based on the reports. |

| I'm going to rocky point in april for a triathlon. I've had a few co-workers who were down there for new years and had no problems, and another who went down during the prez day wekend. There are a lot of issues going on right now, but I think as someone mentioned above Rocky point is probably safer than other towns. Once you cross the border, I would advise against stopping in sonoyta, just get to RP. All the state schools here in AZ are making a big deal about it, but I think a lot of that is so they can just say 'I-told-you-so'. As long as you don't act in a way to get thrown in jail (which you can bribe your way out of) you will be fine. Just go with people, stay on the main drags, and don't venture too far onto the beach at night. |

Where do you plan on crossing to?
The country's fine overall, just stay away from Chihuahua. |

Yeah mexico is cool any time of the year. Be sure to check out world famous adelitas in TJ. Each girl is $60 + $11 for the room. But heres the secret that will save you some cash, that my dad taught me...
If you get 2 girls at the same time in 1 room, thats $130. Its better to do that than instead of paying for 1 girl and 1 room. That way you wont have to go back later to bang another chick and have to spend another $10 for the room
