Feel free to use me as a reference for Hewlett Packard in the west island, 100%.
My brother got his start at Insight Canada before he became Director of Canadian Operations for a company that paid him to move to the US with a 6 figure income. Their office is in TMR near l'Hippodrome, < 1km from where I used to live. Check there as well is sales is fine with you. |
oh? I'm actually starting at Insight next week! Doing west coast sales.
Actually, if anyone knows of any other sales/marketing type jobs in Montreal, let me know. |

net+ is one of the easiest cert out there along with A+. It might help you get in futureshop or places like that. But I wouldn't expect making $20 from Network+ |

Im already in printed circuit industry so the network+ is more of a backup plan. Gonna do the A+ after the network+ and not sure what after that. Any suggestions? I never got a chance to talk to someone who even knew what network+ is. |

Network+, I basically did a quick read of the sybex book or another one and wrote the exam, got like 960/1000...not much value out of it.
Although, the biggest waste of certification money was to do get my M$ certs.....and i dont even use the knowledge as I work in UNIX now :P
In total, i wrote like 9 M$ exams.
The CCNA cert gave me a whole lot more knowledge than network+. However, it expires after 3 years...never bothered renewing it.
I still think that the best IT education you can get is hands on, will to learn on your own, and a univ. degree. The univ. degree will cover a wide range of theory from programming, math, OS structures, distributed systems, networking, security, etc etc. |
