Hi,
I Have a few questions to proceed te right way.:)
I have some experience with reason but I want to work with cubase le because I see more potential in this program then just by working with reason 4.0
- How to connect a guitar and how do I use it in cubase or reason?
- How do I check my soundcard so that it is working probably so I know it works and nothing is broken inside?
- Witch points should I ask more so that nothing is slippng by, so that I can work on the correct way.
This is mine configuration of my hardware and what software I have avaible to use.
Mine configuration:
Threw usb computer:
Emu Xboard 25 (usb/midi keyboard)
Akai MPD 32 (drumcomputer)
Output
Soundcard Emu 0404 > SM Pro M Patch 2 (volume control)
> 2 Monitor speakers KRK VXT 6
Input
Geluidskaart Emu 0404 >Tapco Blend 6 (analoge 6-channel mixer) connected threw the main mix left en right
> Yamaha APX 500 NT (elektro-akoestische guitar) connected threw the mic instrument input 1.
Software:
Reason 4.0
Cubase Le
Ableton live lite 6
Sonar Le
If anybody could help me with this thanks alot. |

Reason does not have an audio in, you cannot directly use it in reason.
You'll need to either rewire reason to something or record the guitar first and then use a sampler or whatever to load the segments. |

to be living in central europe your english is pretty bad lol, no offence though it was just fun to read. if u plan on a hardware route just get rid of Reason as soon as possible, it is a very addictive program which is hard to get out of when u first know how to use it. Just go for Cubase if u already have that you will be able to get a hold of better plugins etc plus that u can record your hardware directly. Read the manual first and search for some startup tutorials before going into hardware recording. Someone can probably point you to the right tutorials or you can read the stickies in this forums. Good luck man and I hope you have more success than I had when attempting hardware, I failed big at it lol. Software only for me. |

it always cracks me up when people say "no offense".
it's like, "no offense, but you're a jackass". how can that ever not be offensive? :stongue: |

No offense, but your hair is ing crazy. And you probably smell bad. I mean no offense, though... jackass.
It's like putting an "lol" or ":)" at the end of a sentence. It negates anything that may have been offensive in the preceding sentence... lol.
:wtf: |

More potential? I've been making music for 10 years and reason 4 has pretty much everything you need, except audio editing.

By connecting your guitar to your soundcard input and record?

You need to take it to the lab and look carefully at it with a microscope
- Witch points should I ask more so that nothing is slippng by, so that I can work on the correct way.
No points? Just experiment and ask things on your way, what the heck is the point of asking questions before they are even needed.
Software:
Reason 4.0
Cubase Le
Ableton live lite 6
Sonar Le
You should add protools and logic to that list, otherwise you'll never be able to make professional music such as tiesto and armin.

ontopic: make music instead of asking useless questions on a forum |
