what happened?

he used to be progressive....now hes regressive - is this him selling out or him buying into a younger audience?

I don't know what the is it with him nowadays...but he has to stop this bull he's pulling now and go back to doing his thing, just like he was doing 2004-ish.

His 'Everybody' compilations are some of my all time favorites.

sell out

It happened a while back LTF. I take it you weren't there at the Mischief/Public Office gig at the end of 2006? He was deplorable.

Also, let's not forget The Fruit, which was in that very first wave of 'orrible electro-house in 2004.

I wish we could go back to the days of Buenos Aires and My Lexicon.

yeah i hear ya - i missed that gig however heard a few mixes etc - it all seemed to change after the fruit got big

it was bizarre on sunday - every tune he PLayed seemed to be an oldskool trance or electro track that had been either remixed/edited and had some dodgey 'sexy' (apparently) male vocals chucked over the top.

The more reports I hear, the gladder I am that I missed Future. Haven't heard anything about de Crecy though...surely he was good?

Oh yeah, I forgot about Lawrence. He's awesome. Would have loved to see him again. My mates said Hawtin was banging yet plain, but a lot of them the don't seem to appreciate the subtleties of techno. :p

They were the only two acts I was really interested in from the outset.

I have no idea, I used to consider myself a big fan going as far back as "My Lexicon" and "Venus and Mars", absolutely loved his 2003 Essential Mix, and I loved the first 2 Everybody comps.

I would say Sander had the largest fall from grace out of any big name DJ I know.

I'm a big Sander K fan but i honestly think he jumped the shark with his set at Sensation White 2004

His Everybody On tour album with Lee Burridge was an utter disappointment

+1 to the first two "Everybody" compilations. I especially loved the second one.

At Sydney's future he played a pretty good set.... first 90mins were proggy house great flow and building, but his last 30mins were the electro/crap and i know quite a few people that thought the end of his set was pretty unimpressive... At the afterparty he was solid without being amazing, he seems to be able to build an awesome platform but he fails to take it to another level (problem which i'm finding with the progressive sound these days)

As per comments on the rest of future, de crecy was rubbish (apart from the first song) but that cube seemed to keep a few of the people interested, hawtin well bloody amazing, i know there is a lot of hype regarding him and he pretty much delivered and lived up to the hype.... JUST A SHAME THAT SYDNEY DIDN"T GET A SIDESHOW!!!!
