| Constantly I have this guy who everytime he sees me he screams out "NOBODY LISTENS TO TECHNO" following the release of the song by Enimen(sp). He usually does it in front of a large crowd of spectators, in which everyone laughs. I can't believe this e, I feel like the school bully is messing with me! What comeback would you guys say to this ignorant fool? |

or.... "Your mom listens to it when we're banging!"
I have never been really good with combacks tho. My suggestion is just ignore him. He's only gonna keep saying it because it bothers you.
Or you can always play along... Be like "I don't listen to techno... Dick"

wouldn't it be great if a techno producer came out with a track that featured "nobody listens to techno" throughout it and it was a banging track??
and why are you offended by the guy? it's not like he's insulting your family... he's just joking around about your music preference... just laugh with him or tell him how you feel... |

haha good point. I think it is just that where I am from it is very hard to find others that jam to this music, so it drives me crazy! Everyone here listens to ghetto rap or country!

| i think i would just laugh at a comment like that. people who choose to be ignorant like that probably cannot be enlightened to truly appreciate "techno" so let them think what they want and be glad they are not infiltrating your music scene. |

I'd love to tell him I don't even listen to Techno, mostly just Hard Trance, Progressive, etc.
But I don't think it would do any good.

no, it won't...he'll just think you're a nerd, the nut probably doesn't even know the difference
personally what i would do is this:
him: "nobody listens to techno"
me: "so what, i do, you have a problem with that?"
but i'm a confrotational bastard, who never lets rest and i usually don't give a f*ck....like i'll be sitting on a train bopping my head like mad to some whicked beats and people will look at me all strange or even laugh, and i'll just smile at them....i really have no shame :) |

i know the feeling one of my m8s keeps sayin it. and i keep telling him that its trance i listen to but he ddont av it.
some ov me other m8s suggest i listen to techno-bollox and cant really tell the diff between the two, so just tell him he knows all about music. or just laugh along with him.
i kinda get pissed off wen my tunes get called techno-bollox but hey, most ov my m8s listen to rock so i just skit the fuk out of it and they h8 it. i mean wat can b worse then rock ?? |
