There is a widely regarded perception that Donald Trump is not classy because he behaves like someone from the nouveau riche. Yes, he's wealthy but that wealth was inherited from his father. He did have nice education and upbringing but after all that, you would've thought he would act classier and know better than to show and jeopardize his wealth and reputation by doing reality tv shows and going to WWE etc.
I grew up and go to school with people who have wealth in their bloodline, and if there's one thing I know about these people who've been rich since childbirth, it's that they never show off their wealth. Especially in national television. He advertises so many of his projects and property there you'd begin to think 'Ok, I get it, you're ing rich', but he continues to feed us with these unnecessary images of him in his apartment full of gold, helicopters etc.
I don't know why you would wanna flaunt your wealth and extravagant lifestyle that much because of a) security for the most part and b) reputation among the top wealthiest businessmen in the world who have much more than he does.
Also, after reading more into Trump, he made some wrong decisions midway through his career and had some financial problems during the 90s. Not the perfect businessman as many regard him to be. How hard is it to use your father's money to make a new building in a location everyone knows will be good anyway but they just don't have the money to make one? |

2)Non-classy show-off behaviour.. the man doesn't understand subtlety or something being understated.
3)house taste (the hairstyle, the flashy ties).
4)Arrogant attitude.
5)Constant attention-whoring (this being a case in point). Has nothing to do with the people involved and has no idea about the psychology of abuse or any other aspects.. but has to go out and say something about the latest headline just to get his photo out there.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battered_person_syndrome
It's a psychological condition.. one that allows women to kill abusive partners that they keep going back to and not get done for murder. Anyone that's worked with seriously abused women will tell you about it and how common it is... they'll also tell you how unproductive it is to trivialise it or call these women stupid or losers.
Great I love it when celebrities decide to use their potentially huge audience to express their opinion on things they have no idea about or experience of. Maybe we should find some racist celebs to go out and tell us how they see it too. Hey Mel Gibson tell us how Jews run the world...
Informed opinions are great. Blabbing your mouth about stuff that a)Is none of your business. and b)You have no idea about is just a sign of your own ignorance and attention whoring tendencies. If he went out and spoke his mind about the real estate market I'd be more inclined to listen. |
/thread
jenny he does have a little mayor Quimby in him, though the Donald is mean spirited
We all went through the knee jerk reaction to Rianna, she's stupid, yeah she probably is but anyone who knows anything about batter spouse syndrome knows that these women almost always fall back into the same relationship either with the same man or another one. I was actually surprised when she pressed chargers. Its really sad situation. |

| Frankly, with that much starting money to work with, you have to be a complete idiot not to easily make more. There is Donald Trump. I'm more impressed by people like Buffet who started with nothing. |

what you fail to recognize here is that there is a massive global audience that wants to see that crap. we're all pretty smart here so this is tacky and gaudy but the we all know that the average American is stupid enough to re-elect dubya and the average poor person watching this on tv in some third world is excited abt the Amercian dream. so, there is a huge demand for that type of gaudy behaviour and da donald is just living up to it. i don't like it either, but it's rational.

in fact, his near-bankruptcy in the 90s (where he almost lost all his father's wealth) shows that he has wicked business acumen because he gained it all back and more, on his own feet. |

Just because you can rationalize the motivations behind bad behavior doesn't make it right. Can you blame a rapist? He sees a hot chick jogging in the park. Decides to skip all the expensive, time consuming formalities of courtship and s her on the spot.

He's a good gambler especially with house money. Btw, its easy to make money when every thing is going up in value, like buying stock in a bull market, you look like a genius until the market goes down. |

so the stupidity of the public justifies him showing his extravagant and excessive lifestyle? Why does it have to be him? Doesn't he have at least some integrity to protect his professional high end 'Wall-street image'? You have MTV cribs for that kinda .
do you really think it was him and his tactical analysis of the market that saved him? It's the economic boom of the 90s that basically made it easy for him. Everyone in developed countries was well off during that period, especially rich businessmen. He's lucky to have kept his casinos in a time where everyone was living luxuriously as there were no major conflicts and the market was working well.

exactly. real estate is just hindsight and knowing which locations to invest in. |

yes
(btw samochod, your connection to a rapist is absolutely absurd, do me a favour and never write the LSAT! :p)

why not?

i guess we define "integrity" differently. his showmanship is gaudy but his integrity in doing business deals remains intact. his professional integrity would only be questioned if he committed fraud in his dealings; his extracurricular activities are irrelevant.

partially agree with you there; it's hard to go wrong in good times but i think he did exceptionally well by picking some winners. |

| I understand why you idolize the Donald. You both are 2nd generation immigrants from wealthy families and you both seek out approval by trying to flaunting your money. Yes Jihad I have seen the many pictures you have taken of yourself in front of the BMW that your parents bought you. You also crave to assimilate into western culture and every night pray to Allah you will become the next Trump. Sad but true. I will not try to explain why you shouldn’t worship money, it's probably an inconceivable concept for you. |

| lol so not only is your critical reasoning faulty, but so is your reading comprehension! the only wealth that i will flaunt that was purchased for me by my parents is my education! ;) |
