Bit light, but an interesting read. My choice quote:

quote:
I like to think piracy and downloading are all part of a rebalancing act to put the power back in the hands of what the consumer wants, not the greed mongers who are so f***ed up with equity groups and shareholders and creating pie charts

This guys are best example of that what you can call music genius and unique musicians. No matter if you like their music or not...

I've just got Environments and Woodlands Of Old through the post. They're absolutely churning out the new stuff right down on their web label FSOL Digital. A few weeks ago I was wondering if they were still doing anything interesting.

It's great that they can release all these weird side-projects and experiments that they would never have been able to put out on Virgin. The CDs came in a jiffy bag with my address written on in marker pen. It feels like a very small, self-sufficient operation they're running now, and it's great that Noel Gallagher is banging on about them, because it might just turn a few new people onto their stuff.

I'm just really happy that The FSOL are still prolific. I'd become really worried they'd got lost in psychedelic prog wankery as Amorphous Androgynous, but they're still putting out electronic stuff as well.
