hmm depends. Usually Catholics are alright with doing srong stuff as long as they feel guilty about it afterwards and go to confession.
Though I suppose if she's the fully indoctrinated, sunday-school-going, church-participating type then yes. Once they start accepting whatever the church tells them (masturbation is evil, condoms are evil etc etc etc) they stop thinking for themselves and kinda lose touch with reality. Though I don't know maybe it's not the religious thing in her case.. maybe she just by coincidence managed to avoid all the pop culture references to masturbation on tv, in books, in sex-ed and in every day conversation so the practice never became normalised for her.. either way very odd. |
