What is with this guy?

He has like a new song out on beatport every week and they all sound basically identical!?!?!?

But I guess people are still buying his stuff since his tracks are always highly ranked!

Every time I see a new release by him i listen to it thinking 'maybe this one will be different'... but nope!

WTF!?!?

In deadmau5' defense he created the staccato-arpeggiated sound that is flooding these DJ sites. Its just too bad its been overdone.

yeah, i noticed that about Alex Kenji too. Whatever that new song that he has out now has the exact same beat and bassline as Adelante, which was a good song...but there is no need for two of them. Even has a spanish-tinged guitar breakdown in the middle

Alex Kenji AKA Alessandro Bacci

Alex Kenji is one of his more recent alias's, from what my under standing which is directly related to this sound ... oh like 8 tracks that all have more or less the same exact sound let alone bass line.... I like the tracks im fond of his sound, personally i feel that there great for filler and im interested to see how his sets come together.

i agree that lately its getting a bit much that every track is making it on Beatport top 10 and there for the most part the same thing. But i suggest you check out some of his other names.

(his other names include Yoshie Chandler, Combo, Green Sugar, HouseLovers, D.L.D., Orange Love, Kaiko, Itchy Bit)

I only found all this out recently myself, and so far i have been really digging Yoshie Chandler & COMBO even more so

Still despite this down his down fall of flooding the market i do look forward to catching him on 15 May 2009 @ Footwork (other then WMC one of two North American stops, the other being bbr )

I always thought he had some pretty good productions prior to blowing up on the BP charts (my favorite being 'Penelope'). To me he always seemed like a well-rounded/quality producer but as Geoffb3 said, he belonged in the filler category. I have a feeling he got tired of making quality and not receiving any recognition, so he started to incorporate more favorable commercial sounds like the Spanish guitar in to his tracks. I honestly can't blame him for capitalizing on his 15 minutes, but it might be career suicide since I doubt people will be still talking about him a year from now.

Honestly, 'A lot of', 'Adelente', 'Volviendo Loco', and to a lesser extent 'Up', all sound the exact same!

but people still seem to be buying them so good for Alex Kenji I guess...
