did he play melodic/funky at all? i was really bored by SOS when they were here last year, and i was kind of hoping Desyn still plays funky when he's solo but somehow i doubt it...

Hope it got recorded. Haven't seen a recorded set from Desyn/SOS come out of the woodwork yet this year.
Also would like to know if he played more funky this time around.

My Impression was that he played a lot of rolling basslines,bangers, not much funk at all...

Agreed.
I wasn't left in awe, but i went to go hear some desyn grooves, and he delivered as usual. That dude just has some great tracks in his bag, so it's kinda hard to be disappointed when the chance of him playing good tracks all night is pretty high.
