Midi will not work in External Output Mode (Traktor PRO)

I just want to start with the fact that I was a complete and total 0 yesterday night when I bought my first mixer... I have pretty much got the basics down and almost done with my setup, except for this problem.

I am trying to use my 4channel midi mixer DDM4000(4 channel + 1 mic channel MIDI mixer) channel 2/3 as an external mixer and the rest of the mixer as midi controller, but midi only seems to work when you switch the output to internal. I have an external soundcard NIO 2|4, it has 4 outputs and a midi in/out.

Basically I have my Output from the mixer going to the speakers, then I got 2 pairs of RCA cables going to channel 2 and 3 in the mixer and output 1/2 and 3/4 in the soundcard.

When I use external output mode in Traktor Pro, I can use my channels to EQ and so on. BTW mixer gains knobs aren't midi assignable.... pretty smart IMO. Crossfading works and I can monitor nicely, but there are no default pitch on the mixer, so I need to use midi to assign something, well if I want to use midi I have to switch to internal mode in which I can't monitor in, because when I hit the binds for PFL A or B it PFLS A only. I have downloaded midi maps and they say I can use my interface to monitor.

I have spent countless hours trying to find the solution to this on different forums but no luck for now. Maybe one of you guys can help me out.

EDIT: Also if I use my internal function and use my NIO 2 4 to monitor and the "PFL Traktor Internal buttons" I can prelisten but the audio leaks into the master channel, not a lot but enough to hear.

Thanks in advance.

from what I get here both ur mixer and soundcard are plugged to ur computer via USB/FIrewire....
I'd go for setting up a MIDI link between the soundcard MIDI IN and the mixer MIDI OUT and then get rid of the usb connection between the mixer and the computer...

that way traktor only gets MIDI from dedicated input and it might allow you to use midi in external mode.

My only USB connection is from my sound card to my computer. DDM4000 does not have an inbuilt soundcard in it therefore I had to get the Nio 2|4, My 2 midi cables are going from the card to the mixer Midi in and out to the appropriate midi out and in. The midi traktor light goes blue and everything, just it doesn't seem to work in external mode. If I figure this out I am ready to mixxx :)

EDIT: Damn i am sooooo newwwww.. Midi works in external mode I just have to make sure I used 2/3 for audio channels and Since it already has EQ's I can't assign the same command twice and the Audio channel one overwrites it, however its really annoying that The crossfader section won't work if I assign it to midi , But the crossfader section can be assigned so nicely to midi, it's got a lot of controls... I am gonna have to find a way around this.

ur problem is definitely through traktor itself.
I had a similar issue..
Make sure you have the right channels set up in your audio out and midi ports from traktor..that can be annoying as its a trial and error thing..
first try using internal sync..and use the midi controls to control traktor..then try using the external sync after to get the results your looking for...
good luck

on a related topic...... TRAKTOR's sound quality is pretty awful !
big lacks of depth and power....
made the test against Image-Line Deckadence, the difference is shocking
