This infamous snare , im sure most dnb fans (im not one) should have heard this a trillion times. It occurs in most DnB/Jungle (Sorry i really dont know the difference between these 2) , and my really stupid question is
Which drum machine is this snare from?
the trance Open hi hat is from tr 909 , what about this snare?

No its not 'kinda like it'- it IS it.
Its not a Tr 606 or any other machine. Its the amen snare from the amen break...
It is a REAL snare- not a drum machine- played by a human, not a drum machine.
It is taken from the track 'amen brother' by the winstons (yes I have the original 7").
This is the original:

Skip forward to 1:25 to hear the drum break thats been sampled millions of times in full...this is the track it was originally taken from.
Wanna know the worst bit? The Winstons have never received a penny in royalties for any usege of it....despite it being the foundation of an entire genre and subsequent sub genres of music... scary.
EDIT- i know all of this, just seen the wiki link above mine which says basically the same thing... |

Just heard those 3 , and yeah they sound almost the same.(except one is pitched up). Wow The Winstons gave birth to a whole lot of music genres....
