That's what Armin thought of it too.
Hey, Ruud de Wild says Armin is cool... if he says so he really is :)
Seriously, I heard some stories that with all the travelling Armin does, it's not all fun. One jetlag after the other and beside looking as if run over by a train also feeling that way. Probably that will be in the book too. Maybe I'll read it, it could be interesting, although I don't expect anything shocking. |

I just send an e-mail to the publisher with your question. When I get an answer I'll let you know.
Personally I would think it will be translated. |

Well, to be fair, he didn't write it himself so it's not really a biography. This writer, Coen Bom, travelled a year with Armin. He followed him to all the parties, to the studio and had a peak at what things Armin has to do for his label and his projects. It seems like Tiesto's "Another day at the office" DVD, but only in book form.
But yea, lulz. |
HAHAHAHAHA
U idiot.
Anyway, I recon it would be another one of those things that has potential to be interesting but will be poorly executed. I've read parts of Oakenfolds biography and thats the review it gets from me. Seems to focus in on the wrong things, such as name dropping as many people as possible rather than developing on the things that we all want to know about.
Also, I'm not sure why people would think Armin is extreemly egotistical? He doesn't seem arrogant at all to me. |

Had something to do with him standing in front of the crowd, playing clips of himself playing to other crowds on the giant screens, giving Jesus poses and snarky little smirks and nods when people were throwing themselves at him and screaming his name (literally).
It was a little much for me, is all. |

the book looks pretty fat...only in dutch:tongue3

It looks kind of thin to me.
I can't imagine blocks or pages not being taken up with pictures from his endeavours either. It would be an interesting read though, just as it would if I could find a place other than Amazon stocking the Oakenfold bio. |

Got an answer today from the Dutch publisher Carrera.
They only focus on the Dutch market, but foreign publishers get the opportunity at book fairs to translate the book and sell it in their country.
So you could ask local publishers for it. Then I guess they should contact publisher Carrera when they are interested: http://www.uitgeverijcarrera.nl/
FYI The book has 221 pages and costs 16,90 Euro in Holland. |

....having seen him live, he's the biggest egomaniac ever... then again, probably juts giving the people what they want.
That being said, the book probably actually is kinda interesting. Not that I'd be able to read it. |
+1
I've seen him 2 times, but I won't go to his show again. He only played the time that he had to and nothing more, not even a half of tune. He waved to the crowd and disappeared. He's sets are boring. IMO ... what I think he's good manager, business man, he knows how to sell products, great sales man, but not DJ and not a producer for me.
When I saw this thread I thought WTF? ... this is just too ridiculous. |
