So they asked me to come over and video. So I did. The crowd was pretty energetic, but it was a Z103.5 live to air. Oh man I wasn't diggin the music at all. They were even playing way back play back tunes after 1:30am. I ran away about 2 or so. So what I did was put up my own tune and just did the video more like a music video.
If anyone sees faults, I'd appreciate suggestions on how I can improve as this is the first time I've done a video like this.

The Ear
dude. How did you manage to not freak out on people amidst that sea of wankery?
Not that it would be my kind of place anyway, but goddamn man, they should pack that place to the rafters, put a water tight seal around it, & flood the fucker.

The only problem with using your own music is that it gives a false impression of what kind of night it was.

What makes you think your taste in music is so great? That song was terrible. Pick something that at least sounds fun. Also, your video is almost six minutes long when youve really only got about a 1:30 of footage. I think you should be doing a lot more editing. I don't need to see the same whore dancing for 30 seconds. Give me a couple seconds of her and quickly move on to the next.

True... I thought of that. The club liked the tune I picked so it can't be that bad. The prob was that there wasn't any long segments of recording like I do with Guv videos. At most they are about a min or two except for a couple of segments like the girls dancing around the poles. The video would have sound like a DJ Danny D mix with each tune only having about 15 secs, which I'm not used too. It would have sounded scrambled. To a professional editor or a DJ the mixing would have been easy.

This IS my first video of this type... I gotta lot to learn. It's constructive criticism I'm after.

I think your video work is very well done, it had my attention throughout (which is rare these days)... However, I despised your song choice lol
If the club paid you, it may make more sense to choose a song of the same format to that of which was played on said evening... and in saying that, if they did pay you it may also be in your favour to not really comment negatively on the night either... (if they didn't pay you, then ya it, do/say what you want lol)
:)

They didn't pay me. For me it was more the experience I wanted. Chinamon and Shaya already know that when the lights come on, the ppl ham it up for the camera. That's what I was after. Getting in the comfort zone to approcah ppl and let them do what they want in front of the video will help me in future vids. Chinamon and Shaya are accustomed to this but I'm not. I'm always distant and concentrating on the DJ's and NOT the ppl, which is what I want to change. It appears ppl are pretty fun when the camera's rolling!
As for the club itself, I was pretty surprised with the energy in it... and NOT being downtown. The layout and feel caught me off guard since it was a more local club. I've been partying too much downtown it seems.
