Hello Ableton Wizards....
Sorry for such a N00b Question but you guys always been very helpful with me.
In Ableton is there a way to group multiple tracks/Channels? Sometimes I wanna move certain parts around or insert new stuff to a track. How do I do that without having to move each channel individually.
This would be very helpful when I laydown mixes. At times, I wanna insert or replace a song in the middle of my mix without messing anything else. How do you guys do that?
Thanks WIZARDS!!!

there's not a dedicated "group channels" feature in ableton, though you can do this.
First of all you have channel 1 and 2 which you want to group.
Make a new audio track and press CTRL +ALT + I to display ins and outs for each track...or view in/out, that will show a menu in each track, in the in/out part you will set in chann 1 and 2 "audio to" Audio 3.
Your audio 3 track has to have the monitor flag set to "in".
hope you understand :)
yeah and on my server at: http://tutorials.djbooster.net I have explained a similar thing, but there I didn't know I could group to another channel so I grouped to a send. It might eventually be a tiny little bit more flexible... |

| Thanks Booster. I wonder why Ableton hasn't added that feature. IMO it would be very helpful. |
