Hey Peepz,
What do you think of Shah? I'm thinking about bringing him to Chicago where I am uncertain of trance market here.

| another day on a terrace was a great album, but like many many many trance producers, his sound has fluffed out with too much commerical/vocal crap. shame really, but i'm sure that won't stop the crowds from filling up the club. most trancers love that . |

I am a big fan !
Anotehr day on the terrace is one of the best albums i have every heard .. simply brilliant .. !!
Sunny Tales was very good , but not as good as Anotehr day on the terrace .
Dj Shah - Songbook was ok , alot of nice tracks in there , but alot of bleh ones as well .. !!
his mixed cd , Magic Island ; Music for Baeleric people Vol. 1 , was one of the best compilations i've heard in 2008 !! sooo many good , new tracks on there , it blew me away !
His other aliases , high noon at salinas , san antonio harbour , purple mood , global experience , have also seen him produce great tracks !!
there is also that track called desert rose, brilliant !!
if he doesnt play all his productions ONLY in his set , then i would say you are in for a great ride ... !!

^ thats exactly what he will do... play on ableton and he'll bring a keyboard along, which he will use to play some piano chords over his tracks...
piss poor dj when i saw him, put me to sleep and half the crowd as well... played only roger shah/dj shah/sunlounger/black pearl/magic island material... |

Alright, very good feedback. I'm split down the middle on shah. What do y'all think about bass hunter vs shah? If you could watch or have one play for a concert, which do you think would rock the crowd better? What would tear that damned remote control (with your badass DVR/ Directv setup) out of your hand and bring you out?

He actually found the right music about 2-3 zears ago and he's then pushing on and on with those same sounds... As for every artists, this could be good or bad, it depends on the feeling you could share with his music..
I think he's gr8 talented artists, but I won't consider most of his work into the "trance" music... He sorted out some gr8 tunes like the remix to Above&Beyond, like Paradise or the Purple Mood works... but by distance he could sound a little bit too "fixed"...
Anyway, I'd go sure to listen to him if he would ever come in Italy, as Trance scene here is not that kind of Dreamland actually (besides the big one night Trancegate events) lol! |

Neither!
DJ Shah is way too mellow for my taste, he's like Trance Elevator music and the vocals are horrible. I've listened to some of radio shows, they aren't the worst I've heard but he definitely does not play tracks that make me want to dance....more like fall asleep. |
