I figured out my CUE file problem with Nero...

I had to convert the MP3 to WAVE format and change the filename in the CUE file before burning. I didn't know you had to convert to WAVE before burning a CD with a CUE file. Why? Because since NERO decodes the MP3 into WAVE automatically, I figured that it would remain true for CUE file burns as well. Does anyone else have to do all this in order to burn a CD with Nero Burning ROM with a CUE file? If not, what am I doing wrong? I have CD-TEXT in ALL of my CUEs... Could that be it?

I also have to put it to WAV for it to work.

Yeah I had the same problem as you except I was using CDRWIN and all iI got was static when i burnt an mp3 file with a cue sheet.
I'll try decoding it to .wav before hand next time.

did someone say CUE?? :D

Nero sucks when it comes to this kinda stuff.

I use 'Feurio! CD-Writer' it is only meant for burning audio CDs.

I also recommand EAC (but it doesn't like my system), and RazorLame to change mp3 to wav (they use the LAME codec which allows for error detection which then helps you get rid of the pops and cracks in the audio file)

cheers,

actually, sounds like you have a blacklisted serial #

don't use nero for burning mp3s with a cue sheet.
get cdrwin or fireburner.

I just got it and have not burnt a CD using a CUE file. It doesn't give static when using a WAV file, right???

What exactly are the cue files?
i haven't figured out yet,can someone please explain?

CUE files are pretty standard among CD burner software. It tells the software what files are to be burned and how to format them on the CD
