well as no one else can be arsed i will give ya some feedback.

the tune was nice all the elements are their only it lacked drive. needs beefing up a bit, some drums or side chain.
WhatTF
Cool, I like. I thought most of the percussion was pretty good, but I wasn't too keen on the tone of the snare rolls and I thought the hats were too quiet or perhaps they had too much pink noise to them. But it's not like I could do anything that good. Keep it up.
Subtle
This is the new trick i guess to get reviews.. post in wrong forum.

Yeah this is pretty nice melody man.

The piano is not good tho.. its too dark in the mix.. and needs more delay.

And those delays in the break are no good, sounds out of sync.

You need a heavier snare and more percussion sounds. and those panned sounds has to go.

Good strings.. piano got loads of potential.
Otherwise the overall mix sounds ok.

*about posting in this forum for reviews

It's more helpful for people who aren't very established, and are looking for solid CC. I wanted CC on my last thread in Music Promotion but never got any. But I can see this trend taking a turn for the worst if this keeps on going.

*about the track

Sorry dude, Zshare keeps ing around when I'm on there.

cheers for the feedback guys, i think most of the things mentioned could be sorted with a better mixdown which im gonna work on.

@subtle, ive been trying like hell to get the piano to stand out more but i dunno where im going wrong?

could be mate, i always add a little boost around 10kHz on the master eq to give it extra brightness, maybe its too much lol

youd probably have more control and contour if you boosted each track individually instead of the master, no?

Hey Andy, I can't listen to your track because I'm @ work now, But I had some similar problems getting out the piano. You can try this:

- Compress the piano
- Than cut the lower frequencies (depending on the range of your piano), I'd say start to cut below 350Hz.
- Check with a analyzer where your piano peaks, also check this for other sounds. See if there are sounds peaking at the same frequency, if so, resolve that (either by panning of EQ-ing).
- Boost the freq's a little where you piano peaks (make sure that there aren't any other sounds peaking at that freq).
- Put a good amount of reverb on it, reverb tends to 'bring' sounds closer than they are!
- Apply a subtle amount of delay (just for the fun!)

Good luck!
