| What's next, 2 street gangs fight it out with blades in a dark alley? Afro Acidets vs. Hardfloorers? Or should I decide which of the 2 I like better and only hang out with people who prefer the same version? |

| mate, i think you are taking it to serious, my first post was just how i see it with the recent changes of this track. i have known about the afroacid version for quite a while ever since my fascination of yeke yeke kicked in hard like 5 years ago when i tried to hear all the versions of the track. and i still didn't think it was anything special, just the original retweaked a bit and added a small acidline. the acid martyn young added was quite dull. you might aswell stick with the original extended version if you have a need to play this. |

well, i agree with montana because i first hand witness a mini tech house dj play this tune and afterwards the other djs were like dude where did you get that one its so off the hook and he's like yea i got this one from watching a youtube video of richie hawtin. :rolleyes: |

That's what I'm getting at. You just rolleyesed because of the source of a dj's track. Who cares where he got it. Who cares if all his friends have it now. Only matters if the party is rocking right?
I'm surprised considering you'll stick up for dj's who use gimmicks, play popular tracks, and most likely havent been around for awhile or paid any dues. |

because when you see your idol play a track it influences your opinion of it. thats what the scene has turned into, a bunch of techie dj's with stars in their eyes, wannabe's.

that's another problem, the old guard, it shouldn't matter how long someone has been around or paid any dues. that mentality. its just jealousy when an 18 year old kid who just picked up some turn tables from a pawn shop completely whips ass against some aging hipster who's been in the scene for decades. that kid hasn't been corrupted by message forums and tracklists ... yet. |
