Hey guys.

I just brought a EFX 500 unit. It is what I do with my tax returns.

Anyways, my question is that, I have a DJM-500 with 2 Technics 1200 M3D tables. I want to know how can I connect everything and have two times effects with the DJM-500 as well as the EFX 500 and I want to able to hear everything (the effects from djm and as well as efx) through my headphone when I press the master button.

Help.

Thanks :-)

Okay i take it what you are asking is "can i control the channels inependently with the EFX-500" the answer is NO. (Unless you have a DJM-1000 mixer thats made for external control)

Theres 2 ways you can hook it up. You can either use it inline with one turntable or the other (youll only have effects on that one though) OR you run it through your master output on the amp into the EFX and then to the speakers from the EFX. But everything you do will effect the master output so you can only really use the effect if your willing to use everything.

There really is no cue on the EFX-500 but if you wanna hear what the effects are sounding like then you just plug your headphones into the EFX and youll hear whats going out to the speakers.

Bottom line if you want to use it on both sides... you need another one.

Doesn't the DJM-500 have a FX send/return line?

i believe it does, but its one of the "effects" in the fx section so you cant have both the DJM 500 effects and the EFX 500 effects.

Not sure why you would want both though as the EFX fx has what vthe djm does but done better and with extras on top.

plus you would need at least three hands to use both

or learn to use your pecker i guess?

:p

I am doing the send and receive thing with DJM and EFX 500, plus I might get Traktor Scratch Duo soon, so it will be double the effects.
