Hey all,
I'm kinda a new TA here, and would like some input from the pros.
So I always notice DJ worship going on at concerts these days, and noticed that DJ worship, such as chanting the DJ's name, playing 'simon says' with the DJ, throwing panties at DJ all contribute towards the energy on the floor.
But some people dislike DJ worship because it creates monsters that we can no longer control (i.e. Tiesto).
What do you think? |

I dont really conisder the 'simon says' thing to be worship. I've been clubbing in Holland before and I noticed that they dont do this quite so much as the Brits. I do firmly think that when everyone puts thier hands in the air mimicing the DJ (at trance nights at least), it adds to the atmosphere tenfold. As for chanting their name, this doesn't bother me much either - it only ever really happens when they first come on, and that creates a good atmosphere of anticipation.

| i don't agree with it but i hope that if i ever become a famous dj people chant my name and do all sorts of weird like that :p |

| Someone's been surfing on Ishkur's webpage eh? DJs were designed to put music at a party while the people had fun, socializing et cetera. Today DJs have become the center of attention. |

dj starts clapping = crowd starts clapping
dj puts hands up = crowd puts hands up
dj starts jumping = crowd starts jumping
dj puts hand up to ear = crowd gets louder |

| I attended some brittish clubs a while ago and saw Eddie Halliwell, Nic Fanculli, Picotto etc and God the worshiping was amazing. People were screaming EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE all the freaking time. Most of them probably had no idea who he was since most of the crowd looked like chavz/nedz |
