Ha, I remember when I first read the novel (which you should do as well) and went "WTF is this ? I hate when authors use foreign words!" But I gradually understood the terms through context. It was great.
It's spelled droog, and it's from a constructed language named Nadsat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadsat
