| Is anyone here licenced with the AVLA or something like it? I tried to get a pub night to spin beats and I was told I need a licence to dj and if i bring a lap top it has to be certified. |

I'm surprised the pub is busting your balls for a license in the first place... |

| thats BS, the venue has to have licenses to protect public safety and to sell beer, you only need a contract to protect yourself |

| Nah, it probably means they don't have the public music licence and are trying to fob you off. The bit about the laptop is total BS - the chances of a DJ getting busted for what they're suggesting is so unbelievably low. |
