| im using cubase 4, and im automating a midi channel, when i listen to it i can hear it workin however, when i render the piece and listen back the automation hasn't happened, anyone know why this might be ? |

@Andy, make sure you have the read button switched on. |

@Andy, make sure you have the read button switched on. | yeh all read buttons were on mate, i it was just on one channel n i dunno why it happened. ending up automating the vst channel instead so all good now :) |

Do you normally automate in the Key Editor than? For plugins I always use automation on the VST Channel, it's much easier, only with outboard gear I use Key Editor automation. |

When you automate the VST channel, you still have volume controle. Just don't automate the volume ;) |

Just don't automate the volume ;) | lol in this case my friend i needed to, as u may have seen from the feeback from my latest track, the piano was too loud in the break down of the track, but it wasnt later on in the track so ive automated it. done now anyway :) |

| MIDI Channels dont like to be volume automated, i always automate the audio channel. :) |
