10$ is the usual price of entry for piknic.
lets say 4000 people show up (a LOT of people go to piknic now, not just dance music fans.)
4000 x 10 = 40 000$
add the money the sponsors kick in and the concession sales, and they make money even if they do not charge an arm and a leg:)
piknic does things the way things should be done, and the people have rewarded them by showing up every week. If only a slew of other promoters could learn to do things the right way. |
