Hey guys...

I am visiting upstate New York after a non stop 48 hour drive from SoCal.

I am going into Manhattan either Friday or Saturday of this next week. I am getting a hotel for Sat and Sunday. What would be a good place to stay that wont break my bank? Where should we leave the car? We don't really want to drive around in NY so we want to leave the car somewhere. I mean is there somewhere we can leave the car outside of Manhattan and just taxi into the city and taxi everywhere?

Next question is regarding Pacha, i already bought tickets for Morillo on the 4th so we will be checking that out. How strict is the dress code? I mean can i get in with nice sneakers? I searched and read that the dress code is kinda lax but i wanted to make sure.

I am sure i will have more questions so il just keep them posting in here.

Thanks in advance guys!

Bummer! You bought tickets for Morillo when Armin is going to be at Roseland the same night? Sell your tickets and get tickets for Armin!!

Oh well, if you must go to Pacha. 99% of the time I've been there has been for Made Events (the ones throwing the Armin party hint hint) and you can wear anything at all to them. For Pacha, I think you'll be ok with sneakers. I wear black skechers every time I go there. As long as you're presentable I don't think you'll have any trouble.

For a hotel, I recommend the Days Inn on 94th and Broadway. The rooms are a decent size and not too expensive.

Parking... Finding legal street parking will be a pain in the ass. You'll probably have to move the car a few times. Since it seems as though you would like to leave the car and take cabs / public transit around I would suggest parking the car in a garage. If you park in a garage uptown it'll cost you maybe $25 for 24hrs? That's not too bad and at least you know the car is safe and you don't need to move it by a certain time.

Thanks for the info...

I am going to look into garages right now online, hopefully i can find something at a somewhat reasonable rate. I dont want to spend so much money on that because i still need to pay for taxis and stuff like that. So i am going to find the most economic route of either driving in there or parking somewhere outside. The hotels i am looking into right now, so thanks for narrowing it down for me...

As far as Morillo, i am a house head and not really into trance that much so i think i made the right decision, thanks for the heads up though :)

Haha, I hear you 100% on that one. I'm at an awful crossroads there myself. I much prefer house but started out liking trance and befriended everyone in the trance scene. So although musically I'd much prefer something else, I can't turn down the company of 50 or so beloved NYTAs at an event like Armin. It's worth it for me to go for the people.

My solution, however... Danny Howells at Love the night before 4/3!

If you're going to be in the area then I highly recommend it. Danny of course is wonderfulness and Love is a totally cool venue. There's the front room with the main bar and small DJ booth. A fraggle chill our room with fuzzy couches and a waterfall. Then an in between room with some seats. And then the back room with the main DJ booth, dancefloor, and amazing sound system.

Do it! Do it!
