I misssssssed Footy so much! HOLY its good to be back!
Andrew: didnt see really much of his set but the lil i did see didnt really do it for me, but maybe it was the time slot that was blah and not u? i dunno. whatever
Jeff: holy jeff! this is what i came to see :) high energy, sikk tracks and totally what i had been missing in TO since i left! SO different then what i had expected for him but in a hugely good way!
Simon: I think him and Jeff shoulda reversed their time slots and this woulda been a way better match. This set pretty much lost the momentum and direction jeffs set had built up and was kinda a lil all over the place but the track selection for the most part was pretty fun. LOL but the girls that were mangled beside me were dancing up a storm and luving it! :)
Matt: You totally made me miss the days when i first started clubbing like 8 years ago when tribal was played in every club! :)
Jon Jon: I loved ur tshirt, the perfect combo of glam and grime! Amazzzzzzing and speaking of glam & grime.... jon jon

that was a really good night! went there for andrew and jeff, and for the most part was satisfied. andrews set was pretty up and down for me. at times he reminded me why he became one of my fav locals, but a lot of blah moments in his set. in his defence, there wasnt much of a crowd at all until 1130, and im sure its tough playing to an empty room. buttons set was retarded. i was expecting some good prog house, but he was slamming 100% tech house. i met one of his friends there, and he said he was recording. id love to hear that again. simon jain played some remixes of a lot of old tracks, but was pretty herky jerky for me. me and my crew left around 3.
overall good night, but found the crowd pretty sketchy. is it usually like that on fridays????? |

as raw as it gets.... lol
i had to connect my recorder to the master (the main speakers were set to the record for some reason) - so it's pretty much redlined the entire way through. includes some interesting moments, including a mid mix bump into the mixer (thanks simon - lol) where i knock the channel fader back in.
this mix has it all - the grime, without the glam

| went down to FW last night to chack out my buddy Simon. Never been to FW over the years so had to make sure I checked it out. Very interesting place. Got to admit being stone sober makes you really observant. Liked the intimacy of the venue and the sound was nice and clean. The crowd was a real mixed bag. I went it to the bathroom and while I was peeing, the guy beside me started to run his hand up my leg and I was like WTF??? He didn't even look up, I left and it totally freaked me out bc the guy was so non-chalante (sp?) about it. Anyways, after that weirdo experience, back to the room for some good beats. Enjoyed what Simon was playing. There was a very interesting crowd up by the DJ booth. Some real cuties. But that was it. Mostly a lot of men (looks like str* and gay) and not so many women. Some sketchbag totally freaked on the bartender and it took like 5 minutes to get the 2 rent-a-security guys to come and drag him out. I am so used to GUV and other top notch security outfits, so this delay and rather rookie'sh Security detail was a joke. All in all, a very interesting experience. I'm glad I went and big-ups to SJ for some great beats. I'm sure I will go back, just make sure I'm in the right state of mind lol..... |

Are u ing kidding me? Top notch security at the Guv? LMAO! WOW! Guv security is bunch of muscle head dicks who like to throw what little power they have around and act like tough guys. The security at footwork is FAR superior and actually treats you like you are a human being. I think being that its ur first time at footy its a little premature for you to make such judgments on their security... |

Mistakes happen everywhere. I've worked with a lot of them for quite a while now..there are some really great security out there, and then there are the juice heads. I guess this kind of job doesn't always attract the best candidates.
But kudos to the ones that care |
