| I met with Dave Dean there for a private party about 2 days after I moved to AZ and about a month before Giant started there. Brand new venue. The opening night was NYE. Haven't actually gone on a Wed though. Been too broke. Cool spot. 350 cap. Very new age ultra lounge look. Feels very OC to me. Pretty decent sound, although it's not a funkion one. Nice patio. Only thing that's kinda funny is where the dj booth is. The dance floor runs down the center with raised vip cabanas on one side and the bar along the other. The booth is up some steps on the bar side with a little lounge area in front. The patio entrance is next to it. Not used to seeing big headliners without the crowd directly in front of them. All and all its a nice spot for a Wed night. Might be a little crowded on a Friday. Don't know what kinda pull Sean has here though. Oh yeah...it's got a bath tub on the raised area by the cabanas that girls dance in. Kinda cool. Looking forward to hitting it up soon. It's still about a 35 min drive for me. Gonna get involved with it some time soon too. Had to get a real job and some money first. Kinda funny I move to AZ and am still gonna end up working with Giant. Strange how the world works sometimes :) |
