Hey guys!!!
It's been a while since i dropped by cuz i'm on vacation atm.
I need your help with a couple of things...

1st, something is up with my IE browser, (version 6), i can't seem to right click, when i do that, nothing comes up...
any help on that?

2nd, i can't seem to download, when the download box pops up, i press the save or open button and Nothing happens, it doesn't even ask me where i want to save it, i can't even get passed that 'open' 'save' 'cancel' box. The only thing that works is the cancel button.

3rd, non of my progs like Kazaa etc, can connect, except outlook express.

i know i'm behind a network firewall, but others seem to have the ability to download things etc.

4th, can anyone give me some good info on how to get passed blocked pages....etc.. :p

Sorry for the long request :D
Any help is appreciated!
:)
Miss you all...

1st and 2nd problem is
that ur missing a dll file in ur system directory
it happened to me...
Shdoclc.dll file i think...
Fir3start3r
Some questions...
Which OS?
Had IE been patched?
Are you behind any firewalls?
What are your browser proxy settings? (if needed)

To work around it (if you're not at home and using a modem) just download a small brower like Opera for now...

Windows ME
yes it has been patched
I'm pretty sure i'm behind a firewall
Proxy settings???? I do believe a proxy is needed...

I'm on a computer at home, and on a modem....:eyespop:
can't i change something in the proxy settings to gain access, or is there a special program that can do such things?
I'll be glad when i return to my computer with a cable connection.:p

THanks for the help so far....;)

Get a tunnel program like HTTP-tunnel. Bear in mind, however, that the firewall is there for a reason, and you would most definately be breaking some company policy if you circumvent it in this way.

When will you be getting cable?
I'd suggest reinstalling IE6 but d/l that from a modem would take a month of Sundays (unless you have a CD with it somewhere).

If you're getting cable soon you could hold off IE for a bit and go with the Opera browser. Fully loaded it's only about 11Meg.
You can get it here --> http://www.opera.com/download/get.p...=win&force=6.03

Not being all that familiar with WindowsME; does it have a firewall option like XP? Check those settings if it does...

Trying to patch anything Micro$oft just isn't worth the time.
It's easier just to uninstall(or format) and start over.
(believe me; I had to do it lots of times and it's always better starting over); just keep all your personal data on a separate drive.

Good luck! ;)

it, just download ie6 again

As i said, I'm on vacation, meaning i don't have access to my computer and my cable connection.... I didn't say i was getting cable, sorry for the confusion...:p

I'm not too familiar with ME either....

anyway, i'm mostly concerned with the right clicking problem and the downloading and connecting problem...(#1,2,3)

THANKS!
Fir3start3r
Doh!
Totally missed the vacation part lol :p

Then I'd definately d/l the Opera brower for now and then reinstall IE6 when you get back home.

Save yourself the aggrivation...you're on vacation!!!
