He was on before Mauro Picotto in Vancouver 6 years ago. Neither one played Picotto's lizard stuff like Komodo, dammit! Excessively male crowd.

Brutal. Way to ruin a party that had so much potential. |

I still think it could be good. I was skeptical when Richie & co. were there a few years ago and it was actually quite good. |

Maybe you're just getting old? |

| What do preferences in music and age have to do with one another? Generalisations like this drive me nutters. If anything, Carola's style from 10+ years ago (harder, aggressive) is the kind of music that tends to appeal to a younger crowd, so it's just as possible that the DJs Chem's referring to have gotten old while his own tastes have stayed relatively young. |

that...and the music was better then....producers actually thought about making good tracks, not about trying to make millions. |

lol this is a discussion I often have with my DJ buddies..I personally dont believe there is less good music out there these days, but rather more ty music due to the digital explosion
also the scene has fragmented over time, so there aren't a hand-full of DJs bringing you the best tunes at your local big club...its more like a bunch of micro-scenes doing their own thing coming up with innovative music..which means you'll have to do a little research if you're to find those quality producers/DJs |

you are right...there is still some very good tracks out there and often you will get to hear one or two of them in a two hour set.
The digital age has definately allowed the market to be flooded with garbage tracks produced by some guy in his parents basement who has never seen the light of day. The more popular the music gets then the more producers you have trying to find that one big hit...even if they have to produce 30-40 garbage tracks first....no one remembers the garbage tracks they produce. |

| Saw Carola for this first time in Miami opening for Victor Calderone Saturday night. He played an almost 5 hour set. He rocked it out. I was very impressed by him. |
