even at 162$ it is a steal, it is a pretty nice hotel.

this is montreal, not kabul.

it depends on the day.

but trust me at 162 its a steal, brand spanking new hotel, suites are 2 rooms... more space to pre-party and invite all the MTL-TAs:p

I just pricelined 4* montreal and got Le Centre Sheraton Montreal for $76/night + tax. Any good ? is it near all the action ?

I didn't really expect to get anything on my 1st attempt. Now I wish I had bid less. If it's not a clean hotel my wife is going to kill me.

I guess we're going to Mutek !

considering the airfare is gonna cost me an arm and a leg now, $162 USD a night way too much for me to spend on a hotel.

The Mutek weekend deal works out to like $93 USD a night... much better
Don't really need a 4 star hotel for a party weekend...
malek
thats actually 162 C$, around 128$US

if you are going to demf why don't you use the mutek train ticket deal?

if you insist on flying, fly to burlington and take a bus from there, you will save a ton of money.

planning a trip is hard work if you wanna pay less, try doing a little research.

I'm concerned about toal expense as well so I'll look into the burlington, VT option. Not sure if we're doing DEMF this year. Between WMC, a trip to Manila for a firend's wedding, and an a pending trip to Berlin, I have to be careful, especially considering that I lost my job in February. Now I have all the time in the world, but not the money.

I had been considering flying to Albany on Southwest airlines since we can do that cheap and taking a train, bus, or rental care from there.

depending on where you are coming from, the train from albany might be longer than your flight.

the last i can remember, 1 round trip greyhound ticket from burlington to montreal is 100$ (cdn) The trip is about 1.5 hours (a bit more sometimes if they are dicks at the border.)

I tend to fly more out of burlington when flying in the US because it is way cheaper that way.:)

Coming from New Orleans, Louisiana. You are right, it is a lot cheaper to fly in/out of Burlington, VT. A LOT cheaper. So thanks for the tip.

I was looking into albany because we can fly on SWA for cheap and I love their no fees to change flights.

check the bus scheds from burlington to here. :)

the bus does not run from the airport but i think they have a shuttle from the terminal to the bus station.

happy travels.:)

Metropolis/SAT are the main venues. About 1 minute walking distance from one to the other.
