FLASHING LIGHTS
w/ La Roux (US LIVE DEBUT!), DJ Ayres, Nick Catchdubs, and Jubilee

FLASHING LIGHTS is the neon brainchild of some of the city's most beloved selectors: DJ AYRES (responsible for 7+ sweaty years of The Rub parties at Southpaw), NICK CATCHDUBS (remix/mixtape phenom and co-founder of the hit indie label Fool's Gold) and JUBILEE (BK bass sweetheart behind her own newly minted Nightshifters imprint).

These three constantly-touring DJs have shared their signature sounds with crowds around the world, but always wondered why there wasn't a genuinely fun and unpretentious electronic dance party to play in their own hometown. So this past fall, Flashing Lights was born to fill that void with HOUSE+DISCO+TECHNO+RAVE as the block-letter flyers plainly state. No hype, just tuuunes!

In only a few short months, the FL trio have branded their party as a true Friday night destination, thanks to exciting and unpredictable sets blending brand new music and revitalized dance classics. With guest appearances on the decks from big name friends (A-Trak, Klever), local heroes (DJ Dara, Egg Foo Young) and rising talent (Nadastrom, Nacho Lovers), each edition has brought new musical delights. The New Yorker says, "recent Flashing Lights parties have been high-spirited, low-attitude events that recall the mood of New York City dance clubs from the early eighties, like Danceteria. Remember: the event is actually for dancers, rather than for people who need to text each other in public."

The latest FLASHING LIGHTS on Friday, April 3rd at Studio B in Brooklyn features the live stateside debut of UK sensation LA ROUX, who's made a name for herself with original synth pop gems like "Quicksand" as well as huge club remixes including Skream's instant-classic reworking of her latest single, "In For The Kill." Joining the FL residents on the decks is none other than DJ LINDSEY, fellow hometown dance expert and one third of the Negroclash crew.
