I would fly to Montreal again to see Simon Patterson.
That guy is part DJ, part man, part Bulldozer and part F-16.
Hell flights are $149 today with West Jet, might even pop down for Gaz... |

circus is "afterhours", thus it open, after regular club hours. I dont see why it should open earlier. Yes maybe more people would pass by if it was to open at 11, but it doesnt really matter, every trancemission ive been to at circus was packeeedd. I dont think they are worried about fillinf up the place, they have their clientele that comes everytime. ANd whats up with the working people having more money? first of all, what people that go to circus dont have money? (lol maybe for some ppl) and second of all, money for what? water? redbull?..
So ya, Circus has built itself a solid reputation with the tracemission nights (for tranceheads) and other international bookings, plus the usual nights like erotic circus, i really dont think they are worried about having more clients or having a bad image, imo, their business works just fine. |
I stand corrected then: in terms of working people... it's known that club managers, and investors look to working people simply because they generally have more money to spend than students. Go try to finance any club and a bank will definitely ask you about what clientel you are targeting. So many times I see students just refill their water bottles in the bathrooms at parties. And redbull.. it's regulated by common sense (you should probably have only 2 in a night)... [they banned it in France.]

And you mention water and Redbull... Aha... starting earlier offers the possibility of selling alcoholic drinks. e.g. Ferry Corsten at Millenium some months ago... also started around 22h00 or 23h00 and it was fantastic.
But if they are happy with what it is now... so be it. It's their club and they can do what they want.
It just takes me back to the fundamental issue... It's hard to find Trance (Melodic, Euphoric, Vocal, Epic) in Montreal. And even harder at 23h00. Club 1234 on rue de la Montagne maybe? I'm open to suggestions. Some places play Tech Trance or Progressive House.)
To the guy coming from France... I've been to Queen on the Champs Elysées (and enjoyed it) and I'm not sure you are going to find that here. Try Club 1234 and depending on the night, Light Ultraclub. Some new clubs have sprung up, maybe someone else has more info. |

Well, you came to see one of the very rare Trance nights in Paris ! I've been there for almost 6 years, and I might have enjoyed Trance nights around 6 or 7 times... not much...
I have the impression that in Montreal Trance is played very late in the night (or early in the morning :toothless ), which does seem to bother many of you, but that's however more often than in Paris. And dancing Trance from 4 AM to 7 or 8 AM is good to me :D
Anyway, I'll see that when I'm around
PS : think of booking Sean Tyas too :wtf: |
