Good Resto i went to the other day:
Casa Minhota

Grilled octopus was amazing. Great wines, cozy restaurant. Typical Portuguese grilled meats.

another good one i went to recently:

Il Piatto Pieno

This is one of the best BYOW ive been to. Table D'Hote is $30, selection of any entre, main dish, desert and coffee.

wood oven Pizza's were HUGE and amazing. Pretty decent Pasta dishes also.

very good value.

il piatto pieno was good....not spectacular, but definately solid. i like the singer they have there on weekends....it makes for an interesting night.

Leméac, one of the most over rated restaurant in this town... went there 3 times, 3 time the food was a disgrace for the price you pay.

1- order veal liver...rare, came out medieum well.

2-ask for hot and blue filet mignon, came out cold.

3- the waitress came twice with the wrong wine at the table.

4- Once for lunch, veal sweetbreath risotto with wild mushroom...over cooked risotto, and by the way, where's the wild mushroom??.

I mean they did 5-600 custumer a day on busy summer, maybe I wasn't lucky this time.

It still a good restaurant, staff are nice and very professionnal, but way over rated to me.

toque is not what it used to be.

lemeac is very over rated, but the most over rated piece of resto in this town is queue de cheval by far.

I am going to try bistro justine next week, i'll post my thoughts on it:)

toque has the most amazing creme brulee ever. and i mean ever. no creme brulee has come close, ever. toque has spoiled creme brulee for me.

plus the steak de cerf was incredible, well cooked.

VIVE LA BOUFFE !

Sho-Dan is very good for Sushi, but make sure to ask for the special list.

Try the "Besame Mucho" and the "Newton"

fois gras a la creme brulee > creme brulee.

it isn't very hard to make lol.

Haha I was trying to think why the name La Griglia D'Oro sounds familiar and I remembered that my friend actually used to work there. Maybe I should check it out some time.
