Hi all, Here is a new promo mix for this month. I'll be using this to promote an outdoor party that I want to throw later this year.
Used to have a party where I used to live once a year that became known locally as Invasion. I'm gonna see how it will go closer to where I'm currently residing. We also used to have quite a diverse range of electronic music and DJ's.
I've tried to capture that diversity with this mix so there's all kinds of EDM influences throughout. Hope you enjoy!

Cheers for the bump Oscar.:)
In all honesty, the more I listen back to this mix the more things I dislike about it. The flow in this is not as good as my mix from Feb. I really like most of these tunes although some of them already sound stale to me. But anyway have a listen and lemme know what you think even if you don't like it.
I got thick skin so feel free to be harsh!:p :p |

OK Teez, I listened on my way to work this morning. One of the aspects that stood out right away was the energy level that you maintained throughout the set. It was pretty much banging from start to finish, and I think that it would have worked great at a club.
The mixing was also very good, I didn't notice anything wrong in that aspect. The programming was a little bit all over the place, but it didn't detract that much from the overall vibe of the set.
Most of the tunes weren't really my cup of tea to be honest, but that is just personal taste. I thought some of them sounded too 'electro house' for my taste.
So overall, it was a very energetic set from start to finish with solid mixing that would have worked great at a big club or a big outdoors festival. |

Thanks Oscar having a listen and for the positive feedback.:)
I knew that it really isn't the kind of stuff you like and expected that. My aim with this was to lay down a mix that covered some diverse influences of EDM while still staying within the kind of genres that I'm currently interested in. So it is pretty much a banging set as most of my friends who've supported me and this event in the past have tended to like harder sounding styles, although my own taste is shying away from these styles at the moment. I knew I wouldn't please everyone with this but there might be a little bit of something that most can enjoy somewhere within the set.
Haven't had a chance to get through Deep Spaces just yet but the first few tracks I heard were very nice, will listen properly today and let you know my thoughts a bit later.
Cheers Az for having a listen. Really enjoyed your last mix posted here too man.:) |

| Oh, so "Invasion" is an actual event in Australia? |

| Yeah, Invasion was a free outdoor event a friend and I put once a year. It had a house to hard theme but basically had quite a diverse range of DJ's playing different genres from house, breaks, drum n bass, electro, techno and trance/hard trance We missed it last year as I had moved interstate but at the moment I'm thinking of putting it on again where I'm currently living, mabey a beach party or something but I'll have to do quite a bit of promoting for it as I don't know a lot of people into elecctronic music up here but I'm keen to give it try and see how things turn out. |
