I'm a fresh trance producer looking for any feedback, suggestions, comments on my first couple of tracks. Please let me know what kinds of things I can do better as I am still fairly new to the game. :) Thanks and much appreciated.

Take Control -

Sounds like some elements of Hard House. It sounds a little muddy, but that could be a sound you're going for.

I like the little pizzicato sound in the lead.

The break starts off very basically, but then evolves into something kind of cool, before the rebuild.

The kick is a little boomy - again, perhaps a stylistic preference.

It sounds like there is a little bit of harmonic dissonance with the note echos clashing with one another.

I didn't like the vocal sample but chalk that up to personal preference.

Bittersweet -

Definitely a more trancey beginning. I like the filter tweak.

Love the gated chord progression (even though it's a little harmonically rough). The pattern after that progression was a little weird - not in a musically or mix-wise way - but just weird, in general.

The break is a little sudden.

The arpegio that comes in after the gated chords on the break is a little loud. That whole transition felt awkward.

I like the idea of the tune but thought that its mix was a little harsh.

Overall-

I like the ideas, but the transitions between the parts in each, I thought, could use some finesse. Both songs sounded kind of clunky. They had a rhythmic rigidity to them that made for an almost robotic groove. They also sounded sparse, like the ideas you had put down were a framework for something more elaborate.
