Mate, never install drivers that come on the disk - I'm not joking.

Chances are, by the time they have been manufactured, shipped to a distributor, then shipped to the shop, hung about on a shelf until you bought it, they are nearly always out of date.

You are always better off going to the website and downloading the latest driver.

As for updating drivers - I don't suggest doing this either. You're better off downloading the new driver, going to device manager (pc - yes?) Uninstalling the device, phsyically disconnecting the device, restarting the pc, then installing the new driver and connecting the unit as described by the manufacturer.

Give that a go and tess us how you got on.

it was the latest driver i was trying to install, i have sorted it now, i had to go into the setup files properties and change the program to run in compatability mode with xp service pack 2. all done, whoop whoop :):)

I`d shoot myself before figuring that out.

these minor inconveniences that always get sorted are hardly worth shelling out the extra grand to by a mac imo
