| so im takin this girl out and im takin her to 230-fifth for drinks later, and i need to find a good restaurant around 14th st somewhere.... any recommendations? |

That doesn't mean their good ;) I'd say get something really light around there at one of the more casual spots for a salad or appetizers or something. Then take her to Max Brenner, that chocolate place, she'll dig it (I dig it). Then onto drinks ;)
Otherwise if you really just wanna eat, there's Cafeteria on 17th st. and 7th. It's really an overpriced diner, but it's pretty swanky and on a Saturday, cool vibe and music; my ex used to love that place. |

| I went to TABLA on friday....great views, perfect service. on 5th and I wanna say 23rd (madison square park). Its new-american with an indian twist. great place!! def perfect for a date. |

I saw this thread a little too late, but I figured this would come in handy anyway... what happened to the restaurant thread????
Taralucci e Vino, right next to Rosa Mexicano on 18th & University. Really good italian food, great wine list, and a tiramisu' to die for. About $100 for 2 ppl with a btl of wine is what my check usually is.
Make sure you try the burrata with the truffle oil and some balsamic vinegar. |
