the 2000 are the best money can buy in headphones.
Wouldnt trade it for any pair out there right now.

i hope your right

I own them all.
It all depends, there are people that live off the Senheiser sound.
To me the bass is nearly the same like the ones on the 7506.

The 2000 are more crisp alllll around.

I own one of each

7506 - Sony
HD 25-1 II - Senheiser
rpdj1200a - technics - good but heavy.
hdj200 -Pioneer

and no matter how much i try to give the other a chance, my favorite in sound is the 2000's.

I've got the Sony MDR 7509 HD.

Unbelievable quality. Without question the most detailed headphones I've ever had the pleasure to own.

They're not cheap but worth every penny.

Ebay,

If you've got cash to spare take the hit of losing 30-40$ and get ones you really want.

Just shave a 100-150 off your table to pay for the new ones :)

lol It's just a suggestion.

But honestly having used both I'm just letting you know what I think you'd be happier with in the long run. The 2000's let alone a lot of other cans are much nicer and will put a smile on your face every time you put them on.

Best bet really is to go to a shop and have a go on the 2000's. That'll at least give you the necessary drive to get rid of the 53's.

Just my 2c. even though you didn't ask for them.

yonny
My HD25-1 has lasted me 8 years of Dj'ing, walking outside in the rain, falling on the floor, etc.. And they still sound great.

thats all ive got to say

Hang on - did you buy them from a store (online etc.)? Nearly every state has distance selling rules which mean you can return anything for at least a credit note, if not refund as long as it wasn't B stock or damaged goods sold "as is". Most states give 14 days if not a month.

Don't let them tell you otherwise - i't completely illegal in the USA and they have to take items back or can loose their sellers permit and be fined. hard.
