THE story of WMC wasn’t a single big track, or an epic DJ set, or your friends getting so wasted that they got lost downtown and had to walk home across the bridge.
Nope, the thing that everyone was talking about was the smackdown between the newly minted hero of dance music, Steve Angello, and the mistress of vapid evil, Paris Hilton.
We’ll keep it short. LIV nightclub at the Fontainebleau. Angello tearing it up. Hilton arrives with her nameless reality show boyfriend. Asks Angello to play hip-hop. Angello says in half-Swedish/half-tequila: “Hell no.” Full-on brawl breaks out between Nameless Reality Douche, Angello’s manager, and finally, Angello!
