Hey, I have just registered there. My name is Matiss, I am 17 years old, I come from little country in Europe - Latvia. I have just started(1 week ago, b4 I poduced another genre of music) to produce a trance music(uplifting one). This is my first trance track (remix) I've ever done, so I wanna show it to you guys. I'd like to have some comments, feedbacks or critics.

Seriously, this is a good showing.
It's a little cheesy and I thought the lead could be developed substantially, but it was a good listen, none-the-less. |

Amazing kick, bass, hat and sweeps... so hard to get right and u cracked it friend. good work. Honestly Im amazed at how good it all sounds> making kicks sound good is a dark art I feel, but you seemed to crack it.
When I was 17, my stuff sounded bloody awful!
Love that lead sound, and the subbass is great.
The melody from 2min onwards ish.. is good, but maybe get some more variation in there, it gets a bit repetitive especially as it is used throughout the entire track pretty much. IT is definately a little cheesy as someone else mentioned, but for more clasic trance lovers this would be perfect.
The kick roll thing out of the break I think needs a little work, maybe make it more interesting with some more sounds in there, like snares claps etc etc...
If this was released say 10 years ago it would be a hit, but trance has got so advanced these days...
but dude, you are 17! you have got a great future if yo keep this up. Are you doing a course in music? how did you pick up the skills you have? |

| wow.. thank you so much :eek: nah I've lil skill in producing, I am doing a for some 5 years now, but it wasn't trance, it was sth dancish you know gay one, so this is new challange for me :D |

just when i was your age i was using ejay, and my music absolutely sucked arse... you have got a lot of advanced stuff going on. It sounds like you know about compressions and eqing etc... (i could be wrong)
What program did u use? and what vst?
It seems your only weakness (ill be honest) is in making melodys... although it wad good, it was not great.
As a suggestions u could do some keyboard lessons, but also you should look at making remixes as you can learn a lot from other producers in this way (and its fun) |

emhh.. I am using FL7, not the best, but it does the job. I am using some not MASSIVE plugins like - vstation, zebra, and nexus.
yeah, I know that I am bad at melos. ;)
keyboard lessons, don't need them cuz I have finished the musical school and I can play piano aswell, so I don't need it ;) |
