Keeping Your Synth Clean

I've noticed my room has been dusty as I like to leave the window open and my Virus TI attracts a lot of dust. I would like to clean it, especially the keys as I haven't since I got it which was July of 2007! But I am afraid of ruining something electrically -- does anyone know of any special bottles or cleansers that clean synthesizers?

High compression hair cans work. They spray cold air that is pretty darn powerful. They have a liquid in them that hasn't damaged any of my hardware and I have been using them for years.

Thanks man, are you sure about this? Which ones in particular? And do you spray in between the cracks to get INSIDE the synth case as well or just the surface such as the ob board knobs, buttons and piano keys?

Yes, this is sound advice. These are just cans of compressed air which are useful for getting dust or any other particulate out. Yes, you can spray in between the knobs/keys too. Although it shouldn't be spraying any liquid out. There isn't any real specific "brand" you need to pick up. Here is a link http://www.microbarn.com/details.as...&source=froogle

you should also go buy $15 keyboard covers for the future. my synths are covered at all times during non use :)

What WhatTF said.

When you shake the cans they get really cold [not supposed to shake them] and a liquid comes out, maby its condensation or something who knows. Probably an effect of the shaking.
