Just wanted to share a little bit :)
I've created some sound design video examples. The concept is simple - I start with an init preset, then i tweak some knobs and at the end you have some nice sound (or not ;) ).
no typical bla bla ;) just pure sound

Currently there are 4 videos there:
- How to Make Simple Progressive House Lead (Synapse Toxic II)
- How to make trance lead (Genesis CM)
- How to make house bass sound (Novation V-Station)
- How to make bass with freeware TAL-Elek7ro
Personally I like the third video the most. If you're registered user at vimeo, you can download all the movies in avi format with the same quality it was captured (no youtube, vimeo compressions etc.). feel free to comment. some advices would be nice |

This is pretty cool, kudos for the DJ Culture melody.
Unfortunately, with all these tutorials, I always want to know WHY people are turning the knobs that they're turning.
I liked your blog, some good download material there. |

It's not quite that simple.
I'm talking along the lines of "and now I'm going to turn up the low-pass filter to get rid of that squealing noise" or something like that. I suppose, more like what the knobs do to the sound/wave, which requires some knowledge of synth programming. |

ok, i've created another tutorial:

this time it's about creating quite nice pad. I picked Synapse Toxic II plugin because it has nice FM synthesis which can be helpful in creating pads :) feel free, to comment |
