Ableton Live 7 or Fruity Loops 7 for this spec?

So my friend wants to try out music production , and his interested in ableton and fruity loops..
But with his specs
Core 2 Duo 2.66GhZ
2GB RAM
Realtek High Definition Audio

Which one should he get?
Storyteller
It doesn't really matter which sequencer he gets and it's not our choice to make. A cheap but better soundcard is recommended (m-audio audiophile 2496 for instance). It will improve the audio performance (and quality) quite a bit.
Subtle
He can run anything with these specs, but as Storyteller says, he needs a sound card.

Try the demo's...then decide which one works best for you.

Yes but is it true that FL doesn't support multi-core?
If it doesn't , does that mean that only 1 out of 2 CPU he has will operate FL?

So anyone has any clue whether FL 7 supports multi-core or not?

Yeah would definitely think so.

the specs are leading in what DAW you should use?

not, say, which one suits your work process?
