I buy both mp3s and vinyl. I don't buy wavs because they are unwieldy, large files, and I don't hear enough sound difference to merit paying the extra $$.
I only buy vinyl from vinyl-only labels and for out-of-press material. |
pretty much |

| I buy mp3 because I can't justify the cost of .wav. I'm planning on eventually getting a pair of Tech 12's and getting myself setup with Traktor or something, at that point, or maybe even sooner than that, I'll start collecting vinyl as well. |

| i decided when i finally got my turntables that I was just going to go into the record store dig around and buy what i like. i don't want to get too caught up in trying to own this track or that track because it's too expensive trying to buy stuff offline personally. i know i don't live in a great record city like detroit or new york, but that also means i can probably find some gems that aren't snatched up. i'm sure if i ever got to a point where i wanted to play out i'd get more mp3s though...i just buy music for me right now and keep it eclectic :) |

| I use wavs because i want to hear every single detail while i'm in the mix. i don't want lost data. Also about the crowd not hearing the difference, thats them. Oh well |

That's really all I've ever done when buying music apart from buying some here and and there for the g/f. |

| I bought my decks back in '03 and I am constantly kicking myself for not going CDJ back then. It's just too expensive for me to order vinyl on the net with the shipping costs/exchange rate anymore. |
